About Visit Cincy
Visit Cincy, official tourism promotion for the Cincinnati region
Visit Cincy is the destination marketing organization (DMO) that drives tourism in the Cincinnati region with the stated goal of generating economic impact and vitality for its residents, businesses, and communities. It promotes experiences aimed at both leisure travelers and meeting and convention professionals, and its funding comes from a dedicated transient occupancy tax in Hamilton County, as well as nearly 500 member businesses across the region.
The entity operates under the umbrella brand "Cincy Region," which encompasses the four counties that primarily fund the organizations — Hamilton County (Ohio) and Boone, Kenton, and Campbell (Kentucky) — as well as the full ten-county metropolitan statistical area of Greater Cincinnati.
Structure and governance
Visit Cincy is a 501(c)6 corporation composed of four departments: Finance and Administration, Sales, Marketing, and Inclusive Hospitality. The organization has its own board of directors and staff team, and publishes job opportunities.
It was previously known as the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Greater Cincinnati Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Collaboration with MeetNKY and regional partners
One of its closest partnerships is with MeetNKY, the convention and visitors bureau for Northern Kentucky. In 2020, the two organizations consolidated a direct collaboration to develop leisure tourism, jointly promote the region as a meeting destination, and maximize the efficiency of their systems. Joint strategies include leisure tourism campaigns, the website, visitor resource materials, promotion of meetings and events, group travel and packages, international outreach, and support for the region's air service development.
Visit Cincy also collaborates with regional hotels and with business and economic development organizations such as the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the African American Chamber, the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA, REDI Cincinnati, 3CDC, the Sharonville Convention Center, and the management company of the Cincinnati convention center.
Recognition and accreditations
The organization has received the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) seal from Destinations International, which certifies compliance with international standards of performance and accountability for destination organizations. It was also a finalist in 2025 for the Business Courier's Best Places to Work recognition.
Visitor content and resources
The Visit Cincy website serves as the official travel and tourism guide for the region. It organizes its content around things to do, events, neighborhoods, restaurants, and places to stay, and includes a visit planning guide. Its resources include the events calendar, visitor guide request, a newsletter, and the Insider's Guide blog.
The platform focuses on the region's 70 neighborhoods, each with its own character, and on the cultural and culinary offerings: large-scale public art, historic architecture, the bourbon and craft brewery scene, and acclaimed restaurants. It also promotes events such as BLINK, described as the nation's largest immersive art and light festival, the region's Oktoberfest, and the Cincinnati Comic Expo, among others.
Institutional profile and mission
Visit Cincy's stated mission is to attract visitors, conventions, and events to grow the economy and enhance the region's global reputation. Its vision is to be the most vibrant and inviting destination, where visitors are inspired, locals are proud, and the world takes notice.
