Fredericka Manor, a Front Porch community, is home to Summer House, a memory care program designed for residents living with Alzheimer's or dementia. The approach combines cognitive stimulation technologies with a compassionate care team, in an environment that seeks to foster meaningful connections and quality of life.

Environment Features

The program takes place in protected neighborhoods, with a secure, landscaped outdoor courtyard. The rooms are designed to provide comfort and familiarity. Available resources include a sensory room with technology to reduce agitation and over-stimulation, an iN2L educational and entertainment system, an activity room, a clubhouse, and a kitchen.

Support and Health Services

Summer House has a dedicated 24-hour care team, behavioral interventions with cognitive support, and daily programs focused on creative expression, exploration, and well-being. In terms of health, an individual care plan is offered, along with coordination with physicians, social services and counseling, medication management, pharmaceutical services, diabetes monitoring, IV antibiotics and hydration, incontinence care, first aid, and all wellness clinic services.

Personal Care and Daily Life

The team provides assistance with activities of daily living, such as showering and bathing, personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and clothing selection. Beauty salon services, regular housekeeping, linen service, bed making, and personal laundry are also offered. The community arranges transportation to medical appointments.

Dining and Diet

The dining room is home-style and offers three meals a day plus snacks, with a selection of cuisines and accommodations for special dietary needs.

In addition to memory care, the community offers independent living and assisted living. The information request form allows you to select among these services. The community does not offer affordable housing.
