About PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation Awards 2026–27
The PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation opened its 2026–27 cycle with up to $250,000 planned for 40 students of Hellenic descent. The published structure separates 20 awards of $10,000 considering academic achievement, financial need, and Hellenic values from 20 awards of $2,500 based on merit and those values. The Foundation reserves the right to award more or fewer scholarships depending on funding.
Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents living in the country, have at least one great-grandparent born in Greece, and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.6 across all transcripts. They must be full-time students at an accredited college, pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree, and be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in fall 2026. First-year students and high-school applicants are not eligible.
The online application closes January 15, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Central time, and late or incomplete files are not considered. Required items include an academic recommendation on departmental letterhead, a non-family personal reference, transcripts from each institution, a photo, an 80-word biography, and spring 2027 course registration; music and arts applicants submit additional samples. Need-based awards use family-income thresholds that vary by household size.
Receiving the scholarship requires attending and participating in the full gala weekend, June 11–13, 2027, including the award event in Chicago, under the published rules. Applicants should factor travel and time away into their budget and schedule before applying. The Foundation welcomes previous applicants still in college, but says an individual cannot receive the award more than once.
