The announced package includes $1,000 for LSAT preparation and application expenses plus a $5,000 law-school scholarship; it is not a general undergraduate award and does not cover the full cost of a JD.
The current application closes November 13, 2026, at 3 p.m. Central Time. LEAP requires at least two completed years of undergraduate study, a 3.0 GPA, two years on a competitive intercollegiate athletic team, and plans to enroll in LSAT preparation or apply to law school within a year after the program. BRAVO requires military, Reserve, or National Guard service and an honorable discharge, along with the same minimum GPA and a plan for an LSAT or accredited law-school pathway.
The application requires a complete transcript and an online recommendation with a separate November 18 deadline. BRAVO applicants must provide proof of honorable discharge and redact Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal information before uploading documents. Payments are scheduled for August 2027, subject to enrollment and verification. Since the recommendation and main application have different deadlines, confirm that both show as received in the portal and save submission records.
