About Chicago Housing Authority Education — scholarships y apoyo universitario
Chicago Housing Authority’s Education section groups opportunities for residents preparing for college. It links to the CHA undergraduate scholarship and separate support for City Colleges of Chicago, making it a useful starting point when a student is unsure which route fits their housing or institution.
The programmes are not interchangeable. The annual CHA/Springboard to Success scholarship requires public housing or a CHA voucher and lease listing; PiE supports City Colleges tuition under its own rules. Ask which route applies to your campus before including an award in a financial-aid package.
General information appears at thecha.org/education, while the specific scholarship page carries the newest terms and ISTS portal link. CHA lists its main office at 60 E. Van Buren Street, Chicago, IL 60605, and the general phone number 312-742-8500; for deadlines use the programme page because the 2026–27 application is closed.
Who it serves and what it can cover: CHA connects residents to an annual undergraduate scholarship and separate resources for City Colleges of Chicago. The scholarship and PiE have different rules; the office can help identify the right route but does not replace formal eligibility verification.
How to apply or get help: The institutional page provides online resources and links to the scholarship portal or PiE. It does not list scholarship-specific service hours; check current contacts on the programme page. For case-specific questions, contact the program or financial-aid office named on its official page.
