About Millennium Periodontics
Periodontics and Dental Implants in Chicago
Millennium Periodontics is a periodontics clinic with two locations in Chicago, Illinois, dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of gum conditions and the placement of dental implants. Its team of periodontists approaches oral health as part of the patient's overall health, combining specialized training with up-to-date technologies.
Implant Treatments
The clinic offers dental implants, implant surgery, and full mouth dental implants for patients with severe tooth loss or jawbone loss. The full mouth procedure relies on image-guided surgery, sedation, and plasma-derived growth factors for bone grafting. Tooth extractions, bone grafting, and sinus lifts are also performed, and fixed teeth versus removable dentures options are compared.
Periodontal Health and Gum Treatment
Gum disease treatment includes the use of healing biologics, laser surgery, and various anesthesia options aimed at reducing discomfort and slowing the progression of infection. The clinic also addresses periodontal regeneration and laser periodontics. Among the conditions treated are chronic gum disease, bleeding gums, gum recession, gummy smile, loose or failing teeth, and loose dentures.
Aesthetics and Surgical Orthodontics
In the aesthetic and surgical field, Millennium Periodontics performs gum recession treatment, gingivectomy and frenectomy, periodontal plastic surgery, and surgical orthodontics. Surgically facilitated orthodontic therapy (SFOT), also known as Wilckodontics, combines orthodontics and periodontal surgery to move teeth more rapidly through the bone, reducing the risk of damaging the roots and shortening treatment time.
