SparClean Pressure Washing

SparClean Pressure Washing: safe exterior cleaning for homes and businesses in Chattanooga

SparClean Pressure Washing is a family-owned company based in Ooltewah, founded in 2016 by Jonathan Smith. It provides pressure washing and soft washing services in Chattanooga and its metro area, for both homes and commercial properties. The company states that it holds a license and commercial-grade liability insurance specifically rated for exterior pressure washing and roof soft washing work.

Its approach is based on avoiding high pressure on delicate materials. For vinyl siding, stucco, painted wood, and asphalt shingles, it uses low-pressure soft washing with specialized solutions; for hard surfaces such as concrete, it uses pressure washing with a surface cleaner.

Exterior cleaning services

The company's service list covers a range of surfaces and treatments:

• House washing: low-pressure soft washing to remove algae, mildew, and spiderwebs from vinyl, stucco, and painted wood.
• Roof cleaning: low-pressure soft wash process that eliminates black streaks caused by Gloeocapsa magma, moss, and lichen.
• Concrete cleaning: pressure washing with a surface cleaner for driveways, sidewalks, and patios, removing mold, algae, and grime.
• Deck and fence cleaning: restoration of wood, composite boards, and vinyl fences, adjusting pressure and solution to each material.
• Commercial pressure washing: cleaning of apartment buildings, schools, churches, and other commercial properties.

Work method and surface protection

The company insists that every job is carried out using property-safe methods. It uses low-pressure soft washing instead of high-pressure blasting that could damage window seals, strip shingle granules, or deteriorate siding. It applies cleaning solutions specific to each surface, designed to attack organic growth at the root and extend results. For roof washing, it uses a low-pressure system that eliminates black streaks without damaging the protective asphalt granules. The company states that it has technicians trained in safe soft washing application and substrate care.

Frequently asked questions about the service

The company distinguishes between pressure washing and soft washing: the former uses high-pressure water for hard surfaces such as concrete, sidewalks, and brick patios; the latter uses low pressure and specialized solutions to eliminate organic growth on delicate surfaces such as vinyl, stucco, painted wood, and shingles. Regarding roof cleaning, it clarifies that the low-pressure process does not damage shingles or the surrounding landscaping. The black streaks are a destructive form of blue-green algae called Gloeocapsa magma, which should never be cleaned with high pressure because it would break the shingles and cause premature leaks. The cost depends on the square footage, the number of stories, and the surfaces to be cleaned, so they offer customized quotes. They recommend cleaning the home's siding once a year, or twice in homes with heavy tree cover, excessive moisture, or algae buildup. They confirm that they carry commercial-grade liability insurance for pressure washing and roof soft washing operations. They accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, and business checks. Regarding renting pressure washing equipment, they note that most DIY rentals do not include the specialized solutions needed to eliminate algae, mold, and Gloeocapsa magma at the root, and that high-pressure equipment can damage siding, strip shingle granules, or break window seals. The service is provided year-round, although spring and summer are the most popular seasons; fall and winter are also suitable for removing built-up algae and preparing the property before the next growth cycle.
