About Physicians' Clinic of Iowa

Multi-specialty medical group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Physicians' Clinic of Iowa (PCI) is a private, independent, locally owned medical group based in Cedar Rapids. Founded in that city in 1997, it presents itself as one of the largest multi-specialty physician groups in Iowa and serves patients from Cedar Rapids and eastern Iowa.

The organization brings together more than 90 physicians, surgeons and mid-level providers who, according to its own presentation, meet national standards for education, knowledge, experience and skills in order to provide the highest quality of care in a wide range of specialties and subspecialties.

Care at the Medical Pavilion and hospital centers

PCI specialists care for patients at the PCI Medical Pavilion, a two-building campus in Cedar Rapids. In addition, they provide hospital and surgical care at both Cedar Rapids hospitals, at Surgery Center Cedar Rapids and at surrounding community medical centers.

The campus is located one mile from Interstate 380 and adjacent to First Avenue, in Cedar Rapids' Medical Quarter, and offers covered and open lot parking.

Specialties and medical services

PCI's service directory covers a broad set of clinical and surgical areas:

  • Ear, nose and throat, including a sinus center.
  • Cardiology and pulmonology (heart and lungs).
  • Hand and wrist, shoulder, hip, knee, foot and ankle, spine and neck surgery.
  • Orthopedics, sports medicine, podiatry, rheumatology and fracture care.
  • General surgery, surgical cancer care, vascular surgery, urologic surgery and reconstructive surgery.
  • Urology and pelvic floor therapy.
  • Cosmetic, breast and body surgery, facial plastics and a medical spa (Envisions Medical Spa).
  • Neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and sleep medicine.
  • Hematology and oncology, with on-site chemotherapy.
  • Allergy, audiology, voice, swallowing and speech, and vestibular therapy (the latter powered by Rock Valley).
  • Bariatric surgery.
  • Pediatric primary care, pediatric surgery and family medicine.
  • Imaging (MRI and CT) and lab.
  • Outpatient surgery.

On-campus services

The Medical Pavilion brings together accredited imaging and lab services, an infusion center and technology that the organization describes as state-of-the-art, with the goal of offering coordinated, patient-centered specialty care under one roof.

According to the center's information, typical tests and procedures performed on-site are often just a simple co-pay, with no expensive deductible, and certain studies and treatments — MRI, CT, sinus surgery, angiograms or chemotherapy — are performed right here.

Education and community activity

PCI organizes activities open to the public. Its schedule includes a free joint replacement surgery seminar on October 13, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and a career fair on October 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at its main campus.

Structure and locations

The organization operates two main buildings in Cedar Rapids — PCI Medical Pavilion 1 and PCI Medical Pavilion 2 — and also maintains outreach locations to bring specialty care closer to other areas. The group defines itself as independent and locally owned, which, according to its presentation, gives eastern Iowa families the ability to choose where they receive specialty care.
