LA Galaxy Youth — Skills Training (Carson and Torrance)

LA Galaxy Youth Skills Training is a weekly one-hour class for boys and girls ages 6–12, divided into U8, U10 and U12 groups. The published curriculum develops passing and receiving, first touch, dribbling, turns, shooting and defending across an eight-week season. It is instruction for beginner and intermediate players, not a tryout for the professional team’s academy.

The current 2026 cycle runs October 27–December 20, with no classes during Halloween or Thanksgiving week. Days and start times are listed by age and location in the live registration system. Prices vary by class; a first-time registration adds a $25 annual membership that includes a training kit and other listed benefits. New participants may request a free trial in advance, subject to space. The club also lists a 10% discount for a second class day or a second child.

Classes meet at Galaxy Park inside Dignity Health Sports Park, 18400 Avalon Boulevard in Carson, or at LA Galaxy Soccer Center, 540 Maple Avenue in Torrance. Galaxy Park uses turf and may block dates for stadium events; the Torrance center has its own indoor schedule. LA Galaxy’s first team competes in MLS and plays in Carson, but these are community skills classes, not a guaranteed route to the first team.
