24 Hour Fitness is an American gym chain that operates more than 235 clubs across California, Texas, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Missouri. The company sells tiered memberships and complements facility access with group classes, personal training, and a mobile app.

Tiered memberships and enrollment terms

The membership offering is structured in tiers that determine club access. KeepFit+ memberships include access to the benefits designated as Premium Wellness Benefits. Sport tier memberships include access to all Sport clubs; Super-Sport memberships include access to Sport and Super-Sport clubs; and Ultra-Sport memberships include access to all clubs nationwide. The selected club of enrollment must be within 50 miles of the purchaser's residence.

Enrollment includes a $4.99 activation fee and payment of first-year dues at the time of enrollment. Certain memberships auto-renew yearly. The $69.99 annual fee is in addition to the yearly membership renewal dues and is billed on the 15th day after enrollment and annually thereafter; it does not apply in Hawaii or Nevada. Yearly membership renewal dues and annual fees must be paid by preauthorized electronic funds transfer. Dues and fees are subject to increases every 12 months, and taxes may apply.

The company states that offer terms may vary by location and that not all memberships are available at all clubs. Enrollment is limited to those 18 and older, or 12 and older with parental consent.

Facilities, classes, and additional services

Clubs feature cardio and weights areas, turf zones for functional training, a pool and spa, a sauna, and a recovery area. Personal training is offered as a separate service: the membership agreement does not include individual or group training, specialized classes, or other services subject to separate agreements with 24 Hour Fitness and payment of an additional fee. Mobile app and guest access

The chain's mobile app offers more than 2,000 workouts, class booking, streak tracking, and goal tracking. As for guest access, a member may designate one person as their Buddy to work out together on each visit, with the option to change that designation every six months. The guest must show photo ID and sign a waiver before entering; the member must be present at all times. If the member cancels their membership, the Buddy Pass user loses access to the facilities. Premium Wellness Benefits and certain services and amenities are not available to Buddy Pass users, who must be 18 years old or 12 with parental consent.
