EF Educational Tours

A class can continue in a city, a laboratory, or a landscape. EF Educational Tours organizes group trips for teachers and students around that idea: connecting travel with the material covered in the classroom. The offering is part of EF’s educational history, which began in 1965, and develops itineraries with hands-on activities, cultural encounters, and exploration.

Collections make it possible to start with the academic goal. Career Readiness explores potential professions; STEM connects science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with places and experiences; Language Tours focuses on languages. There are also middle-school programs, community-engagement options, tours for girls, and Global Leadership Summits combining a tour with a conference.

Catalog examples show how the trip changes with the subject. Adventure in Costa Rica offers nine days through Alajuela, Tortuguero, Sarapiquí, the Arenal region, and Guanacaste, with a focus on ecology, adventure, and conservation. Cuisine & Culture in Southern Italy covers ten days through Rome, Capua, Benevento, Matera, Bari, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, and Alberobello. A nine-day STEM offering connects Seoul and Busan with technology, robotics, and cities.

Preparation begins by selecting a destination and collection, followed by working with a Tour Consultant. This advisor works with the teacher to choose the tour and organize enrollment. The Traveler Support team answers families’ questions, while a Tour Director accompanies the group on the trip. Digital resources help recruit participants and track organizational details.

Families have sections addressing payments, fundraising, and scholarships, as well as passport preparation, transportation, packing, rooming, and meals. The organization describes round-the-clock emergency support and procedures for reviewing activities and adult participants. Protection programs and booking conditions have separate sections connected to trip preparation.
