About Say Yes Buffalo College Access Program

Say Yes Buffalo’s College Access Program helps public and charter-school students complete the financial-aid path to college. Rather than only pointing students toward scholarships, its page lays out steps: create an FSA ID, complete FAFSA, continue with New York TAP, and register for Say Yes. It also offers help checking application status and identifying missing documents.

To prepare for an appointment, the official checklist names a valid student and parent/guardian email, Social Security details when applicable, tax returns from two years earlier for 2026–27 FAFSA, W-2s or other income records, information about siblings in college, and a New York identification number when relevant. The list depends on family circumstances and the form; do not email an FSA ID password or share it with an adviser. The programme can explain the process, but only the agency or institution confirms decisions and award amounts.

Say Yes posts seasonal workshops and virtual appointments, but schedules change and summer 2026 dates have passed. For the class of 2027, the site directs students to their school counsellor, Stacy Rankin, or a College Access Specialist appointment. The main scholarship page sets residency, school, partner-college, and coverage rules. Contact 716-247-5310 or info@sayyesbuffalo.org to ask which appointment is available and what to bring.
