About Eat Off Art

Eat Off Art: Creative Design and Community in Buffalo

Eat Off Art describes itself as a creative design agency focused on building empathetic communities. Based in Buffalo, New York, it brings together artists, educators, and entrepreneurs who carry out their work through the creation and dissemination of their art, the opening of their studio and community space, and investment in other entrepreneurs.

Creative Services and Commissions

The agency offers creative services including public art commissions and jewelry design and sales. Its activity revolves around artistic creation and its application in various formats, from public art projects to jewelry pieces.

Studio and Community Space

Eat Off Art has a studio and community space called Studio + Place, which can be rented for events. This space also hosts activities open to the public, such as the Open Art Studio, held every Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

WonderFULL Soul Sessions

The WonderFULL Soul Sessions program is a music and performance showcase that combines poetry, music, and vocalization, held at Studio + Place itself. The sessions, which take place on select Thursdays in 2026, have a suggested donation of $5 or more, with proceeds supporting the sustainability of CULTRUE, INC. and its future activities. The program is aimed at residents of Erie County and beyond, with generally family-friendly content, and spans genres from acoustic vocalists, blues, gospel, R&B, jazz to hip hop. In 2026, five musicians are featured as resident curators.

Residencies and Collaborations

The agency has completed artist residencies out of state, such as the one held at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor from April 6 to 8, 2026, where it gave workshops and an artist talk. Also, in August 2020 it collaborated with Step Out Buffalo on the design of a specific message to highlight the best of Buffalo, with proceeds going to the International Institute of Buffalo. The design, under the slogan "Bflo Wins," was inspired by the desire for unity and improvement of the city.

Recognition and Team

The Eat Off Art team includes Alexa Wajed and Edreys Wajed, co-founders, along with a team of resident artists, collaborators, and community partners. The company was recognized with the Impact Awards from Buffalo Business First in 2026. Its approach consists of building networks of empathetic people through creativity and arts-based experiences, as a profitable and sustainable business model.
