About Hurtigruten
Hurtigruten: the Norwegian coastal route since 1893
Hurtigruten is a Norwegian cruise line that has connected communities along the coast of Norway since 1893. Its best-known voyage is the original coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes, a 12-day round trip calling at 34 ports, which the company itself presents as "the world's most beautiful voyage." The ships carry local passengers as well as cargo and international guests.
The company operates year-round and structures its offering around two distinct experiences: Original Coastal Express voyages and Signature voyages, which are premium and all-inclusive, dedicated to Svalbard in summer and the North Cape in winter.
Original Coastal Express: the historic route
The original coastal route, founded by the company itself more than 130 years ago, calls at up to 34 diverse ports, with stops ranging from ten minutes to four hours at each one. Passengers travel alongside Norwegians and are served regional Norwegian ingredients as the voyage progresses. The company offers regular departures for this voyage.
Signature Voyages: handpicked destinations and all-inclusive
Signature voyages combine handpicked destinations with a premium dining concept and unlimited select drinks. They include Norway's Coastal Kitchen cuisine, longer port stops to explore at greater leisure, and a wide choice of inclusive drinks in the ships' restaurants and bar. Several seasonal sailings are available.
