Professional Team

Dr. Putnam trained at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his endodontic residency at the University of Iowa. Originally from north Georgia, he served in the United States Army Dental Corps in Savannah, Georgia, before settling in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area. Dr. Tae Hwang, DDS, MS, is also part of the team.

The practice uses small-volume cone-beam CT technology, which provides high-precision three-dimensional radiographic images for diagnosis and treatment planning. The care approach combines relief of immediate symptoms with a search for underlying causes, and incorporates patient education and active participation in the care plan.
