Family Chiropractic Center of Bayonne is at 120 Lefante Way in South Cove Commons. Chiropractor Noah De Koyer sees patients at the office, which also lists licensed acupuncturists Cathey Baier and Teresa Knott. The published schedule distinguishes their working days and hours, making it possible to choose between a chiropractic appointment and an acupuncture visit without assuming that the two follow the same calendar.

A first visit and a separate driver examination

The center advertises a complimentary first chiropractic visit with a coupon, including a history, examination and adjustment, with X-rays if needed. It asks new patients to show the coupon on a phone or in print. The advertised package does not establish that imaging or an adjustment is appropriate for every person; subsequent care and payment are separate conversations. The office says it participates in many insurance programs and handles automobile and workers’ compensation cases.

The center also offers Department of Transportation physical examinations for commercial drivers. These are arranged by appointment through Hudson DNA and Drug Testing at 201-994-6594; the chiropractic office’s number is 201-437-0033. A DOT physical is a different service from the new-patient chiropractic offer.

Hours by service

De Koyer’s chiropractic schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m.; Tuesday 3 to 6 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. Chiropractic is closed Thursday and Sunday. Acupuncture is listed Monday to Friday 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 2–6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.–noon. Baier is named for Monday and Wednesday, and Knott for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; the center also lists Saturday acupuncture without assigning a clinician on its schedule.
