Louisiana GO Grant
To be considered, you must be a Louisiana resident, file FAFSA, receive a federal Pell Grant, and retain financial need after subtracting SAI and other grants or scholarships from cost of attendance. Minimum enrollment is half-time: six semester hours or four quarter hours. The institution must participate and verify the reported domicile.
About Louisiana GO Grant
Louisiana GO Grant is state need-based assistance for residents with low or moderate incomes who still have a gap between attendance costs and other grants. It is designed to supplement federal and state aid, not replace it or automatically pay the full bill.

LOSFA lists a current-year annual minimum of $300 and maximum of $3,000. The college sets each student’s amount based on its allocation, packaging policy, and need; some summer terms are not funded. Continuing eligibility requires a new FAFSA, continued Pell eligibility, and remaining unmet need. The state description does not list a separate GO Grant application: complete FAFSA and speak with the institution’s financial-aid office. Ask whether the campus requires additional documents and how it calculates the gap; if a parent’s residency differs from yours, ask LOSFA about its residency affidavit. Check the annual range and available funds each year.
