Bakersfield College — Arvin Educational Center

The Arvin Educational Center brings Bakersfield College classes and student support to South Kern. Its address is 1001 Varsity Road, and the college lists general education and transfer requirements for California public and private universities among the courses available here. It also says most or all required major courses are offered locally in several career areas, although the exact schedule changes by term.

The published program list spans business agriculture, culinary arts and hospitality, nursing and health, community health worker, health navigator, business office skills, EMT, CPR and AED, early-childhood education, EMLS and welding, alongside psychology and liberal arts. The center also lists admissions and records, financial aid, EOPS, DSPS, AB 540 advising, tutoring and writing support. These services make it a useful point for students who want to discuss more than the class timetable.

Before travelling from Bakersfield or another South Kern community, confirm the course location and service hours with the center: some counseling and support are appointment-based. The college lists tutoring in Room 102 and writing support in Room 104, with hours varying by semester and season. The official location page is the safest place to check the current phone and contact details.
