About Santa Fe College — Ron and Norita Davis Center
The Ron and Norita Davis Center is a local college site for Archer and southwestern Alachua County. It opened in 2003 and lets students complete Associate in Arts coursework closer to home, alongside GED preparation, adult education and community classes. Rather than reproducing every department of the main campus, Davis combines scheduled instruction with a compact set of services for the surrounding area.
The center has classrooms, a computer lab, offices and a community meeting room. Students can receive academic advising and help with admissions, financial aid, registration and support services; online learners can arrange exam proctoring here. Local high-school students may also use the dual-enrollment pathway to earn credits toward both high-school and college requirements. Confirm the exact course, testing appointment or adult-education schedule before travelling.
Davis is at 17500 SW Archer Road, in Archer rather than Gainesville proper. The college’s location page lists its direct phone and a directions link. Santa Fe College states that student parking is free and does not require a permit at its locations; observe designated spaces and posted rules. The rural setting makes checking the class location especially useful when a degree plan mixes Davis, Northwest and online coursework.
