About Central New Mexico Community College — Montoya Campus
Montoya is in northeast Albuquerque at 4700 Morris NE, on a 42-acre site in the Sandia foothills. It opened in 1979 and is named for Senator Joseph M. Montoya. The campus stands out for its landscape and architecture; students living north or east of the city may avoid a daily trip to Main, although transit time and frequency depend on where they start.
CNM highlights rooms and equipment for cosmetology, dental assisting, art and chemistry, along with a library and other student services. Those spaces allow some courses to include hands-on work at the site. The college offers more than 80 programs across the institution, but not every program is taught at every address; the semester schedule and each program page identify its assigned location.
Parking is available in campus lots subject to permit rules; visitors should follow current directions or request the appropriate pass. ABQ RIDE serves Montoya, and CNM provides interactive maps for finding your way around. Before registering, ask whether your program meets here, at Main or elsewhere, and whether lab sessions use a separate building.
