About Central New Mexico Community College — Main Campus

Main Campus covers about 60 acres between downtown Albuquerque and Nob Hill at 716 University Boulevard Southeast. CNM began here in buildings from the former University Heights school and former military barracks; the site now has 20 buildings, including the four-story Education Collaborative for classrooms and services. Its location makes it possible to pair an advising visit with city transit, but check the building for a class before setting out.

The site brings together admissions, advising, financial aid and a broad share of academic fields, from health sciences and computing to trades, arts and general education. Its 1.2-mile Wellness Path follows the campus perimeter and includes exercise equipment, musical instruments and picnic tables: it is an outdoor place to take a break, not an indoor gym. Exact course availability changes by term and should be checked in the class schedule.

CNM says ABQ RIDE serves all five campuses. Main has parking under different rules for students and visitors, so check the map and permit page before driving; not every lot is open parking. The college also provides interactive maps and campus tours. For a first-time applicant, this is often the most useful stop for admission questions, academic planning and financial-aid guidance in one visit.

In brief

The central campus near downtown and Nob Hill brings together student services, classrooms, labs and a 1.2-mile wellness path.
