About Santa Fe College — Perry Center for Emerging Technologies
The Charles R. and Nancy V. Perry Center sits in Alachua’s technology corridor, about 13 miles north of the Northwest Campus. The 30,000-square-foot facility opened in 2009 with technology classrooms and working laboratories. Its location near Progress Corporate Park and the University of Florida’s Sid Martin Biotech facility reflects the center’s role: bring college and technical study closer to northern Alachua County’s biotechnology and industrial employers.
Santa Fe College identifies the Perry Center with emerging-technology degrees and certificates, including biotechnology laboratory training. The catalog and program pages determine which courses and credentials are active in a given term; some programs require sequential lab courses, and a course listed in the college catalog is not automatically offered at every site. The center also provides advising and learning-assessment support, but the college warns that financial-aid and transcript services are limited at Perry.
The campus directory publishes the address and local telephone number, and offers directions from its location page. College parking rules apply: students do not pay for parking or need a decal, but must use student spaces and obey signs. The address is outside Gainesville city, so check the route and the class location in the current schedule rather than treating every Santa Fe course as a downtown or Northwest Campus class.
