Abundant Designs

Abundant Designs: custom web design and development since 2005

Abundant Designs is a web design and development studio established in 2005 by Robert Staddon, a freelance developer with experience creating custom sites. The company presents itself as a team that brings together varied profiles—development, graphic design, email marketing, UX, and branding—to build websites that meet its clients' specific goals.

Its approach revolves around WordPress as its main platform. The founder expressly recommends WordPress over proprietary solutions like Squarespace for small business projects, as noted in the company's blog posts.

Design and development services

The service catalog covers several technical and creative areas:

• Responsive design, with mockups adapted to different devices, screen sizes, and orientations.
• Business-class web hosting, with firewalls, regular backups, SSL certificates, and content delivery networks.
• Speed optimization and SEO, through content indexing, image optimization, page caching, and lazy loading.
• Email marketing and digital advertising through email, ad networks, search engines, and social platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn.
• Online learning platforms, with courses, lessons, quizzes, and certificates managed through a learning management system.
• Brand identity and logos, including colors, typography, and visual elements.
• E-commerce stores with management of offers, payments, taxes, shipping, digital downloads, orders, and inventory.
• Custom web programming: WordPress plugins, PHP customizations, database design, and app development.
• User experience and usability, with simple navigation and intuitive interfaces.

Team and collaborators

Alongside Robert Staddon, who lives in Texas with his family, the projects involve David Staddon, specializing in graphic design and layout with expertise in vector graphics; Zyrek Castelino, responsible for email marketing, UX design, and branding; and Matt Bennett, interface designer and frontend developer. The company also works with a network of external professionals: JS Web Studios (graphic design, UX, and branding), Jime, based in Mexico and certified in visual storytelling, digital marketing, web design, and SEO; Vizeer Marketing Services, for business development and digital advertising; Kerzdenn Kowalchuck, with experience in digital marketing since 2008 and founder of Vizeer Services in 2015; and Imperative Co., dedicated to content strategy and online marketing.

Projects and clients

Recent work featured on the site includes the Our Father’s Farm website, a family farm with e-commerce, dynamic pricing, and event scheduling; the VizaFRAME site, by real estate photographer Jonathan Staddon, which includes drone services and social media marketing; and the redesign of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association website, aimed at improving the user experience for the organization and its members.

The studio shows client testimonials such as Elizabeth Cahail (Fiserv), Anthony Hurst (Kingdom Healthshare), William Teh, Andrew Lewis (BiiLT Contracting Group LLC), Natalie Raynes Music, The Shepherdess, and Patriot’s Hope, which mention punctuality, value for money, and the impact on their businesses.

Technical and content approach

The Abundant Designs blog addresses specific technical issues, such as WooCommerce local pickup costs, managing WooCommerce Memberships profile fields in Admin Columns Pro, or the reasons to choose WordPress over Squarespace. This line of posts suggests a practical approach focused on solving real site development and maintenance problems.

Track record

With more than twenty years in business, the company reports having built and maintained hundreds of websites. Its main office is located in Texas, United States.
