AWE Environmental Services Ltd is a British company with its registered office in Wrexham (Wales) that works in algae control, water treatment and water analysis. Its approach, as presented, consists of managing the causes of environmental problems and not just their symptoms, combining nature-based and sustainable treatment technologies with targeted monitoring and consultancy.

Ultrasonic algae control

The main service is ultrasonic algae control, which makes it possible to combat algae without chemicals. The company also markets blue-green algae test kits to check for the presence of toxic cyanobacteria in swimming waters or water used in saunas.

Water quality monitoring and analysis

The firm offers smart water quality monitoring systems, including the SolaRaft-iQM™, designed to carry out real-time, solar-powered water analysis. In addition, there is an analytical services offering and water quality monitoring as a line of work.

Biological treatments and complementary solutions

The catalogue includes bacteria for controlling elevated nutrient levels in water and soil, the biological clarifier AquaClean, bio dredging, aeration kits and their accessories, and zeolite. It also has DyoFix pond dyes and off-grid power solutions – solar array, as well as erosion control services.

Aquaculture and nutrient utilisation

The company works with aquaponics systems and proposes applications in which biological filters transform contaminants in fishery waters into saleable crops hydroponically, as an example of converting a problem into a positive outcome for the client's business.

Background and consultancy approach

The team was formed after years of experience in the water, waste treatment, contaminated land, industrial air monitoring, horticulture and eco-technology sectors. The company presents itself as an alternative to providers of partial solutions without support, and states that it strives to go further so that its clients understand the causes and implications of their problems and the available options.
