Perch on the Pier

Restaurant in Worthing Pier’s restored Art Deco pavilion, with sea views, weekend breakfast, and service from Thursday through Sunday.

About Perch on the Pier

At the end of Worthing Pier, Perch on the Pier occupies the Southern Pavilion, a 1935 Art Deco building restored and brought back to life. The dining room is surrounded by the sea, making the view part of the experience: from the table, you can watch the tide shift against the open horizon of the English Channel.

The kitchen complements the setting with service that ranges from weekend breakfast to lunch and dinner. On Sundays, the restaurant brings back its sharing roast for the season from fall through spring; the menus include mains, smaller plates, desserts, and a drinks list. It works as a stop during a walk along the pier or as a destination for the meal itself.

The pavilion’s restoration took 15 months and included laying 10,281 floor tiles by hand, a detail that speaks to the care given to the building. The current schedule concentrates service from Thursday through Sunday and may change seasonally. Check the official reservation page and menu before visiting so you can plan your meal around a walk on the pier.
