Best Aquarium Shrimps UK: aquarium shrimp bred in Worcester

Best Aquarium Shrimps UK is a family-run aquarium shrimp farm based in Worcester, in the county of Worcestershire (United Kingdom). The company, also known as Mossland, is run by Paweł and Iwona and has been operating since 2016. Its activity combines freshwater shrimp breeding with online sales and in-store service, as well as advice for aquarium hobbyists and professionals.

Available species and varieties

The catalogue is organised into two main groups of aquarium shrimp, complemented by mosses and accessories. The company presents Neocaridina as a hardy and colourful option, suitable for beginners and able to adapt to different water conditions. Caridina, on the other hand, are described as more delicate and demanding, requiring soft and stable water, and are aimed at experienced aquarists.

Among the advertised varieties are Amano, Amano large size, Amano Red, Amano White, Black Devil Orange Eye, Black King Kong Extreme, Black Rose/Choco, Bloody Mary, Blue Bolt, Blue Bolt High Grade, Blue Diamond High Grade, Blue Green Pearl or Blue Green Jelly, Blue Rili Carbon and Blue Tiger Orange Eye. The sizes indicated in the catalogue range approximately from 1.0 to 2.5 cm depending on the variety. The shop also offers a mixed batch of Neocaridina with ten specimens and two free, and applies a common practice of adding two extra shrimp for every group of ten in many of its products.

Food and accessories

In addition to shrimp, the company sells its own high-quality food under the BASUK brand and products such as Best Of British Shrimp Lollies. The catalogue also includes mosses and essential aquarium items, designed to create a natural and healthy environment for shrimp, fish and aquascaping projects.

Visits to the shrimp room

The company allows customers to book a visit to its shrimp room, a space where clients can see the aquariums up close and gather ideas for setting up their own aquatic ecosystem. This option sits alongside online shopping and direct service at the Worcester establishment.

Customer profile and family approach

Best Aquarium Shrimps UK caters both to those starting out in the aquarium hobby and to experienced aquarists. Its offering ranges from standard-grade shrimp to high-grade specimens, bred and kept in conditions that the company presents as optimal. The business's track record is based on the experience accumulated by its owners in breeding these species and on direct relationships with customers.
