Xplosive Events: family festivals and firework spectaculars in the UK

Xplosive Events is an Oxfordshire-based company that designs and produces family experiences across the UK. Its offering combines world-class fireworks with arena performances, monster trucks, leading stage acts, hot air balloons, air displays and light shows. The company presents itself as a creator of events with a unique style, rhythm and scale, and states that it organises the country's biggest family festivals and firework experiences.

Origins and evolution

The project began during the pandemic, after almost all of the company's firework display clients were forced to cancel their bookings. Xplosive Events pioneered organising its own safe events and, in doing so, brought its productions to its own audiences. Over time, the programme evolved and many of its events incorporated tribute acts, air displays, light shows, hot air balloons and top-tier arena acts.

Event calendar

The company holds its events throughout the year at venues across the UK. The website shows an up-to-date line-up where each event can be viewed in more detail or tickets booked for family and friends. Among the announced dates is the Ardingly Fireworks Spectacular, scheduled for Saturday 24 October at the South of England Showground.

Participation by traders, pilots and volunteers

Xplosive Events opens its events to third-party participation. The website has dedicated sections for traders, attractions, hot air balloon pilots and volunteers, indicating that the company coordinates the presence of exhibitors and external contributors at its events.

Services for third-party events

Through its partners Illusion Fireworks, an award-winning firework display team, Xplosive Events offers display design for any type of event. The team specialises in large pyromusical displays that integrate lasers, lights and fireworks.
