Courthouse Interiors

Courthouse Interiors pairs a historic Somerset house turned showroom with furniture, lighting, wallpaper, fabrics, and home accessories, alongside a second store at Kilver Court and international online sales.

About Courthouse Interiors

Courthouse Interiors occupies a former merchant’s house in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, and turns it into a home-like tour of furniture, lighting, textiles, and decorative objects. The original store spans several floors and rooms, bringing wallpaper, rugs, fabrics, and furniture together in complete settings that feel closer to a lived-in home than a conventional showroom.

The business began in 1998, when Hoss and Tia Fatemi opened the store in the historic building at the center of Wiveliscombe. The former 19th-century merchant’s house is Grade II listed, and its domestic scale makes it easier to imagine how materials and furniture might work together in a home. The family has kept the project independent, and Oliver J. Fatemi took over its leadership in 2018.

The selection includes furniture, lighting, wallpaper, fabrics, Persian rugs, and home accessories. The store carries brands such as Kartell, FLOS, Alessi, Qeeboo, Colefax & Fowler, Morris & Co., Mulberry Home, GP & J Baker, and Sanderson. Its mix of contemporary design and traditional patterns lets visitors compare textures, scale, and finishes in one place.

Rugs have a prominent place in the collection: the company presents more than 500 Persian pieces at its Wiveliscombe house. Fabrics and wall coverings sit alongside them, making it possible to build combinations for different rooms, from a single statement piece to a broader redesign. The team also offers interior design advice and consulting for hospitality projects, as well as commercial orders.

Online sales, which began in 2019, extended the store’s reach and made international shipping possible. Courthouse says it ships to more than 100 countries. Its work has included collaborations with MTV and projects connected to The Ritz and Raffles Hotel Group, reflecting a professional design practice alongside service for individual households.

In addition to the original house, Courthouse Interiors opened a second store at Kilver Court in Shepton Mallet in September 2025. The Wiveliscombe address is The Square, Wiveliscombe, Somerset TA4 2JT; the Kilver Court store is on Kilver Street, Shepton Mallet BA4 5NF. The second store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while online customer service operates Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The building’s former café and brunch space is no longer operating, so a visit now centers on the store and its interior design selection. For a home purchase, it helps to start with room measurements, light, and existing materials; for a professional project, the combination of showroom, online catalog, and consulting gives clients room to explore options before settling on a design.
