Brewser
Brewser is a British craft beer subscription that ships boxes directly from independent breweries across the UK and Ireland, with a monthly selection sent from each brewery's cold store.
About Brewser
Brewser, the craft beer subscription shipped direct from the brewery
Brewser presents itself as the first beer subscription that ships directly from the brewery. The company works with independent breweries across the UK and Ireland, so each box is chosen, packed and shipped by the brewer themselves. The lineup rotates monthly and subscribers can choose the brewery they want that month; each selected brewery prepares an exclusive box for Brewser and dispatches it from its cold store to the customer's door.
Origins and track record
The project began in 2021 in a small house in mid-Wales, driven by one of its founders after more than a decade in the beer industry. According to figures published by the company itself, it has built up more than 200 independent brewery partners and has shipped over a million cans. The company describes itself as the UK's fastest-growing beer subscription.
Subscription model and available boxes
The platform offers several box options, with a monthly subscription and the ability to switch boxes at any time:
- Discovery: eight approachable beers from one of the UK's leading independent breweries, designed both for those who know their hops and for those just getting started. Subscribe from £29 a box.
- Surprise: ten cans from a single brewery covering its full range of styles. Subscribe from £38 a box.
- Pick your own: subscribers choose from the breweries in the lineup, which is updated every month, and the box ships directly from the selected brewery's cold store.
- Alcohol-Free: a mixed alcohol-free box, listed from £38 with a sale price of £44.71.
The site states that all boxes include free delivery and that the subscription can be cancelled easily. The company compares its offering with other services in the sector, noting that its price starts at £29 with delivery included, versus alternatives from £27 plus £2.95 delivery, and that it offers more beer, independent breweries only and the ability to choose your brewery.
Brewery selection and monthly lineup
The team responsible for selection has more than two decades of experience in the independent craft beer sector and visits breweries and events across the UK to choose the products. Before a brewery is added to a box, the team visits it, tastes its beers and talks to the people who brew them. The company says it only works with breweries it genuinely rates.
The lineup rotates every month. Examples shown on the site include an Oktoberfest box with ten beers and a branded tankard, and a selection from Beer Hut, an independent craft brewery founded in January 2017 by two brothers-in-law at Kilkeel Harbour in County Down, Northern Ireland. That box included an exclusive collaboration beer called 'Made of Stars'.
Community and content
The company's blog covers topics such as who owns the breweries that present themselves as craft or independent and how to tell which ones still are, seasonal promotions and recipes to make with beer.
Reviews and loyalty programme
The site shows a rating of 4.8 on Trustpilot and features customer testimonials highlighting the variety of breweries, the chance to discover unfamiliar breweries, the quality and freshness of the beers, value for money and customer service. The company also runs a rewards programme, Brewser Rewards, which lets members save on their next box.
