Weston Hall
Historic Weston house with eight bedrooms, The Cellar restaurant, afternoon tea, and wedding and gathering spaces in Staffordshire.
About Weston Hall
Weston Hall combines a historic Staffordshire house with eight bedrooms, a restaurant, and celebration spaces. Its pitched roofs and rural surroundings form part of a property where guests can stay, dine, or gather without necessarily booking a large celebration. The property belongs to Distinctly Hospitable Group and retains a story of transformations that helps explain the building welcoming guests today.
Its published history dates its origin to 1550 as a house for an estate owner’s widow. Around 1660 it was expanded with three pitched roofs; a fourth arrived under Shrewsbury Settled Estates in the late nineteenth century. The Godwin family bought the property in 1950 and converted it into apartments. Restoration following its 1992 acquisition established a restaurant, function rooms, and accommodations; after another refurbishment, Weston Hall reopened on November 16, 2012.
All eight bedrooms, including the Honeymoon Suite, are on the top floor and are individually designed and furnished. Accommodations include robes and The White Company toiletries and are available seven nights a week. The Monday–Thursday Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package combines an overnight stay with a three-course dinner at The Cellar, making dining a central part of the visit.
The Cellar serves classic English cooking with meat and seasonal produce. Steaks and homemade savory pies are among the dishes the property describes. Its ingredient information identifies Staffordshire as the source of meat and its sister property Hawkstone Hall & Gardens in Shropshire as the kitchen-garden source of much of the fruit and vegetables. Vegan and children’s menus add options to the restaurant’s offering.
The bar and lounge serve cakes and sandwiches during the day and cocktails, appetizers, and bar snacks in the afternoon and evening. Afternoon tea has a traditional version and alternatives named gentleman’s and guilt free. Nonalcoholic drinks include beers, wines, and cocktails. Weston Hall also sells runny honey and honeycomb from the estate’s bees, available to guests at the property.
Weddings, christenings, professional gatherings, and memorial receptions have their own planning arrangements. Festive menus and Christmas Staycation are part of the Christmas 2026 programming; gift vouchers cover dining, overnight stays, or a monetary amount. The property is in Weston near Stafford and places M6 access five miles away. That position connects a stay with area attractions including Shugborough Hall, Trentham Monkey Forest, and Alton Towers.
Direct booking is particularly relevant: the hotel states that it has not authorized bookings through Super Travel or Agoda. Dining information distinguishes service times and arrangements for guest breakfasts, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea. Understanding these options helps guests choose a room, table, or celebration for what each reservation offers in a house combining accommodations with events.
