Car Planet

Car Planet: used car sales in Watford and Barnet

Car Planet is a used car dealership operating in Watford and Barnet, UK. The company presents itself as a used car supermarket with over 2,000 vehicles in stock at any time, hand-picked by its team from trusted suppliers and verified private owners. Its range includes brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Skoda, Peugeot and Porsche, among others.

Preparation and quality control

All vehicles go through a National Prep Centre where they undergo a 150+ point inspection, a road test and, if necessary, the MOT and service. The company states that this process ensures the cars meet its quality, safety and reliability standards before going on sale.

Finance and warranties

Car Planet offers flexible finance options through a network of lenders. According to published information, plans start from 12.9% APR, with a representative example of 14.9% APR subject to approval. The company acts as a credit broker, not a lender. In addition, every vehicle includes 12 months of free roadside assistance and the option to extend the RAC warranty for up to 60 months. For distance sales, where the car is not seen in person, a 14-day money-back guarantee is offered. Part exchange is also accepted and a price match is offered: if the customer finds a similar vehicle cheaper, Car Planet matches the price and reduces it by £50.

Online buying and home delivery

The purchase process can be completed entirely online or in person at their premises. The company offers home delivery from £199, with a charge of £2.00 per mile or £199, whichever is higher. To reserve a vehicle, a refundable fee of £99 is required, which holds the car for 48 hours.

Awards and ratings

Car Planet has been recognised with the Used Car Dealer Group of the Year and New Dealership of the Year awards in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, according to information on its website. The company shows a rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over 4,000 reviews, and states it has more than 5,000 satisfied customers. In 2024, YouTuber KSI visited its premises to surprise a follower with a new BMW.

Additional services

In addition to vehicle sales, Car Planet offers finance, Car Care, part exchange and insurance management services through its authorised distributor. The company operates as an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
