Quicks Archery

Quicks Archery, archery specialists with more than half a century of experience

Quicks Archery is a British retailer dedicated to the sale of archery equipment. The company presents itself as a specialist in the sector and states that it has been providing equipment and advice to archers around the world for over 50 years. Its catalogue ranges from bows and arrows to tuning accessories and components for making your own arrows.

Bows and arrows catalogue

The bow range is organised into several families: recurve target bows, compound bows, traditional and longbow archery, and club and starter bows. It also sells bow sets for clubs and leisure, as well as starter kits and training bows aimed at those new to the sport.

In the arrows section, the shop distinguishes between ready-made arrows — basic or leisure, aluminium, carbon and wooden — and loose shafts in aluminium, carbon and wood. To these are added feathers and vanes, nocks of various types (taper fit, internal fit, pin nock fit, over nock), nock collars, nock tools and points for aluminium, carbon and wooden arrows, as well as rubber blunts and other models.

Bow and archer accessories

For the bow, the catalogue includes recurve-specific accessories (arrow rests, strings, pressure buttons, clickers, handle grips) and compound-specific accessories (arrow rests, strings and cables, D-loops, bow presses). It also offers recurve sights and compound multi-pin sights, pins, scopes, peep sights and sight accessories; stabilisers in sets, long rods, twin rods, extenders, weights, V-bars and offsets, vibration dampers, string stops and string silencers.

Personal accessories include finger tabs, release aids, gloves, thumb rings, arm guards/bracers, quivers and belts, chestguards, arrow pullers and arrow lube, score books, clothing and hats, exercisers and training aids, and spotting scopes and binoculars.

Targets, field equipment and workshop

The targets and shooting range section comprises roundel, animal and novelty faces, face pins, foam, straw and 3-D animal bosses, leisure range equipment, target stands and anchors, back stop netting and netting poles, and tents. The company also sells metal detectors.

For maintenance and DIY, Quicks offers workshop materials: string making (string material, serving thread, string jigs, serving tools and string wax), arrow making (decals and wraps, glues and adhesives, fletching jigs, grain scales, straighteners and tools), bow set up (brace height gauges, hex/Torx sets, nock points, nock pliers, tuning tools, bow scales and bow presses) and other workshop items.

Shops with shooting ranges and advisory service

Quicks Archery operates three own shops: Waterlooville (head office), Honiton and Leeds. There they serve archers and advise customers of all abilities. All shops have indoor archery ranges where customers can try out equipment before buying. The company recommends making an appointment for bow purchases in store, while web and phone orders continue as normal. It also offers click and collect for orders placed through the website.

Supply for clubs, companies, schools and activities

In addition to retail sales, Quicks Archery provides kits and bulk equipment orders for archery-related leisure activities. The company expressly mentions supply to clubs, companies, schools and activity centres.

Shipping and international customers

The shop handles international orders. For EU customers outside the UK, it warns of changes to the delivery system following the UK's departure from the EU: prices on web orders no longer include UK VAT and the company contacts the customer to confirm freight and other possible fees before despatch. At the time of analysis, the company indicated that it was moving its mail order warehouse, so there could be delays with some shipments while stock was between locations.
