North East Degreasers: industrial parts washing in the North East of England and Cumbria

North East Degreasers is an independent family-run business providing parts cleaning and degreasing services to industrial, automotive and engineering organisations across the North East of England and Cumbria. The company states that it has been operating in the region for over twenty years and serves both regional transport operators and one-man workshops, with the size of the client not affecting the service.

Its activity is built around three services: parts washer machine hire, solvent servicing and waste collection. The company maintains that its customers can save on average around 45% compared to what they would pay with other suppliers, and that it operates with no contracts, no minimum terms and no notice periods, with the stated aim of avoiding hidden charges.

Parts washer hire and solvent servicing

Machine hire covers everything from a single unit for a small workshop to several machines spread across larger sites. The company also handles solvent replacement in existing equipment, so the client can contract only the fluid maintenance without needing to change machines. Waste collection completes the cycle: the company removes the waste generated by the cleaning process.

According to its presentation, the build-up of grease, oil and carbon can slow down production and damage equipment, which makes parts washing maintenance an operational necessity for workshops and plants. The firm describes its service as fast, local and tailored to each operation, with flexible service packages that adapt to what the client requests.

Sectors it serves

The company lists the sectors it works with:

• Automotive
• Engineering
• Plant hire

• Marine
• Education

Within that customer base, the company specifically mentions large bus companies, engineering works, car dealerships and one-man operations.

Geographic coverage

North East Degreasers serves Sunderland, Newcastle, Durham, Teesside, Carlisle and the whole of the North East and Cumbria. The company stresses that the specific location of the business within the region does not limit access to its parts washing, solvent servicing and waste collection services.

Track record and business model

The firm presents itself as a family-run, independent business with more than two decades of activity in the North East of England. Its proposition is based on the absence of contracts and minimum terms, on prices that the company itself describes as low, and on adapting the service terms to each client. The company states that no job is too big or too small for its specialist team.
