Panels by Sofia

Bespoke wall panels made in the UK

Panels by Sofia is a British manufacturer and online retailer specialising in decorative wall panels. Its catalogue is made to order in the UK and combines wood effect panels with moisture-resistant MDF solutions. The company presents itself as a supplier to both DIY enthusiasts and interior designers, and its website states that it has served over 25,000 customers.

Panels by design

The range is organised into several families of finish and profile. Featured models include ribbed panels, fluted panels, tongue & groove panels, bead & butt panels, slat panels and wainscoting solutions. The shop also distinguishes between modern and traditional lines, and includes mini and wide-format versions within several of these designs.

Materials and finishes

The catalogue covers paintable panels, wood and wood effect panels, natural wood veneer panels and panel kits. Available veneers include oak, walnut and sapele, with oak veneer options in tongue & groove format and a flexible ribbed oak variant. Paintable MDF and black MDF panels are also offered, along with cut-to-size veneer panels.

Technical and room-specific solutions

The company sells waterproof and moisture-resistant panels, shower panels, fire rated panels, acoustic panels and outdoor panels. The catalogue is also organised by room: bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, hallway and living room, with specific options such as TV wall panels, feature walls and 3D panels. For outdoor use it offers slat and shiplap cladding, as well as decking.

Cut-to-size service and accessories

One of the services the company highlights is cut-to-size: customers can request panels in the dimensions of their project. The shop complements the panels with samples, adhesive, dado rails and wall trims, wall moulding and primer. It also offers LVT flooring samples within its samples and accessories section.

Shipping and customer service

The website advertises free delivery in mainland UK on orders over £149, along with priority delivery options. Phone support is available Monday to Friday. The shop operates in pounds sterling and allows customers to select country or region and currency, with shipping to several European countries in addition to the UK.
