Freeway Lifts: lifts and access equipment for people with reduced mobility

Freeway Lift Services Limited is dedicated to the supply and installation of lifts and access equipment designed for people with reduced mobility. The company operates from Dolphin Wharf, on Rockingham Road (Uxbridge), and serves both domestic and public access projects. According to its own presentation, the equipment it sells is selected for its quality, reliability and durability.

The firm presents itself as an independent supplier of lifts for disabled access in London and the South East of England since 1990, and states that it is an approved supplier for several leading manufacturers in the sector.

Catalogue of lifts and access solutions

The company's catalogue covers different solutions depending on the type of architectural barrier and the available space:

• Platform lifts: designed with a modular approach that makes them easy to integrate into buildings of various types.
• Straight stairlifts: with support from the initial site survey through to after-sales service and product support.
• Curved stairlifts: with bespoke manufactured rails for staircases that cannot accommodate a straight solution.
• Wheelchair stairlifts: intended for wheelchair users and people with walking difficulties, with a fold-down seat and simple operation requiring minimal building work.
• Through floor lifts: an installation that the company describes as less complicated than is often assumed.
• Step lifts: an alternative for overcoming changes in level with steps at the entrance to a home.
• Home lifts and public access lifts: within the complete range that the company designs and manufactures.

Hoist systems, doors and complementary equipment

Alongside lifts, Freeway Lifts supplies hoist and track systems, with various fixing methods adaptable to almost any transfer need. The range is completed with door access solutions — automatic operators and door entry or intercom systems, with options varying according to the user's needs — and with changing tables for wet or dry environments.

Technical service, rental and refurbished equipment

The company carries out ongoing maintenance and repair work on the different types of equipment it supplies. It also offers fully refurbished equipment and a short-term rental or loan scheme for straight stairlifts. As an accessibility specialist, it states that it provides free, no-obligation advice, and notes its collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support for the supply of stairlifts.
