The provider offers exclusively lifetime cover, a type of policy that covers both accidents and illnesses up to the chosen vet fee limit. The limit refreshes each year when the policy is renewed, so the policyholder can claim up to the maximum amount chosen again. Cover can be taken out from £1,000 up to £20,000 in vet fees, with a range of optional extras. Policies are available for puppies and kittens from eight weeks of age, with no upper age limit for the pet.

The service is provided by UK registered veterinary nurses, who offer advice, assess the pet's condition, recommend a course of action and refer to a vet when needed. Direct payment to vets and flexibility

The company can pay vet bills directly when the policyholder and their vet agree in advance. The provider presents this as a way to simplify the process and reduce the admin for the customer.

Conditions and exclusions

Policies do not cover pre-existing conditions. Claims are also not accepted for illnesses whose first symptoms appeared within 14 days of the start of cover, or for accidents or injuries occurring in the first two days from the policy start date.
