Board Game Extras

Board Game Extras, board game accessories since 2008

Board Game Extras is a UK-based online store dedicated to selling accessories and add-ons for board games, with a particular focus on strategy games. The company itself has presented itself as "Experts in Extras" since 2008, that is, with a track record in selling this type of product that complements the base game.

Card sleeves and component protection

One of the main areas of the catalogue is card sleeves, organised by brand and by format. The store works with Mayday Games, with its Standard, Premium, Penny and Coloured lines, and with Sleeve Kings, which includes the Standard, Premium and Penny variants as well as the FFG-compatible ones. It also distributes sleeves from the Swan brand, in Standard and Premium versions.

Tokens, meeples and coins

The tokens and extras section brings together plastic tokens, acrylic cubes and gems, card stands and plastic dice. Within the realistic tokens, themed categories are distinguished such as adventure and horror, animal resources, building resources, energy resources and food tokens, as well as other realistic resources and realistic resource sets for specific games. The store also offers the Top Shelf Token Treasury line, wooden tokens — including wooden resource tokens, shapes and vehicles —, meeples and metal coins.

Storage and organisation

For storage, the catalogue includes inserts, plastic boxes, compartment boxes and token bags, with products from the Broken Token brand.

Board games and miniature games

In addition to accessories, the store sells complete board games, classified by type — starter, advanced, expert, party and living card games — and by brands such as Stonemaier Games, Looney Labs, DVG, Gale Force Nine and DLP Games. Featured titles include Wingspan, Marvel Champions, Catan, Terraforming Mars and Brass: Birmingham. In miniature games, the catalogue covers the Star Wars lines (Legion, Shatterpoint, X-Wing and Armada), Star Trek (Into the Unknown and Attack Wing), and other titles such as Marvel Crisis Protocol, Cthulhu Wars and The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth.
