Arcade WOW

Retro arcade machines manufactured in the UK

Arcade WOW designs and manufactures full-size retro arcade machines and multi-game cabinets in the UK. The company states that it builds them to the same standards as commercial arcade machines found on the high street, so they are designed for heavy use both at home and in commercial settings. Each machine includes over 15,000 games with no subscriptions and comes ready to use, with no prior setup required.

The company presents itself as specialising in commercial-grade machines, in contrast to what it describes as home or novelty equipment from other firms. According to its own communication, its machines are built to last and to deliver the authentic look, feel and sound of a classic arcade cabinet.

Themed models and game catalogue

The catalogue is organised around cabinets with themed licences from iconic arcade games. Among the available designs are versions inspired by Space Invaders, Defender, Asteroids, Bubble Bobble, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Gauntlet, Donkey Kong, Streets of Rage and Battle Zone. The price shown on the site for the featured models is £1,495 per unit.

In addition to the catalogue models, the company offers a customisation service: it builds bespoke arcade machines based on the customer's proposed design, with the aim of creating a bespoke cabinet tailored to their preferences.

Home use and commercial settings

The machines are aimed at several audiences. On the one hand, they are intended for home spaces such as games rooms or mancaves. On the other, they are sold to bars, pubs and hospitality venues, where the company highlights the option of offering competitive two-player gaming as a form of social entertainment and as a way to generate additional income and keep customers in the venue longer.

For the commercial channel, Arcade WOW offers retro multi-game machines with contactless payment, with low-cost rental or purchase options. It also offers experiences for brands and corporate events.

Service, delivery and ratings

The company states that its machines are personally delivered and demonstrated to the customer, and that shipping is fast. Its website shows an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 and states that it has hundreds of customers in the UK, as well as presenting itself as the highest-rated arcade machine brand in the country. These ratings and scores come from the company's own presentation.

The site includes a full technical specifications section, a reviews section and a showroom, as well as a blog. The company also offers the option to request the list of available games.
