HeritageXplore

Platform for visits and experiences at privately owned historic houses across Britain, with events, membership, and scheduled cultural journeys.

About HeritageXplore

Violet Garnock, née Manners, grew up at Belvoir Castle and made her connection to Britain’s historic houses the starting point for HeritageXplore. The platform brings together privately owned properties that retain family life, collections, and architecture, and organizes several ways of experiencing them: visits, events, stays, and cultural journeys.

The first entry point is the collection of participating houses. A map and regional browsing locate places in England, Scotland, and Wales, from Cornwall to Yorkshire and Aberdeenshire. Featured properties include Eastnor Castle, Syon Park, Berkeley Castle, Coughton Court, and Caerhays Castle. Browsing houses and their activities does not require club membership.

The calendar brings together activities using the historic spaces themselves: twilight visits, workshops, literary gatherings, themed celebrations, and art events. It also includes virtual conversations, a separate format from in-person visits. Each event is linked to a place and date, allowing a specific experience to be selected within the network.

HeritageXplore Club is the membership option. It offers a monthly selection of stays, events, and experiences, with member pricing and early access to certain bookings. This collection organizes the search for people who want to follow programming at several houses throughout the year, alongside making individual visits.

HeritageXplore Luxe develops multi-day journeys through private estates, with stays in the houses and encounters centered on their collections. Violet hosts them alongside antiquarian Steven Moore. These are scheduled departures joined by individuals, couples, or friends; the calendar draws on cultural occasions such as the Chelsea Flower Show, Ascot, and the Edinburgh Fringe.

The content library, interviews, and book club extend the experience through stories of architecture, art, families, and objects. The platform works with the owners and teams caring for the houses. Its offering moves from finding an estate on a map to exploring its spaces through activities and stories, with distinct visit and travel formats.
