Origins and evolution

The company was born when its founder, while organising a Spider-Man themed birthday party for her son, couldn't find enough options in local shops or online. She decided to create an online shop that would bring everything needed for a celebration together in one place. In 2002, demand for Golden Jubilee items boosted the growth of its customer base. By 2006 it had surpassed 100,000 customers, and in 2009 it expanded its offering with fancy dress. In 2012 it became the first party supplies company to offer personalised banners, cards and confetti. In 2013 it was acquired by Party City, the world's largest party supplies provider, and in 2020 it became part of the Amscan International group. In 2021 it celebrated its twentieth anniversary, having been part of 6.5 million celebrations.

Delivery, returns and customer service

Party Delights offers free delivery on orders over £40. Standard delivery costs £3.95 and takes 5 working days; express costs £6.95 and takes 2 working days. Orders placed before 8pm Monday to Friday are processed the same day. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday only, excluding bank holidays, and there is no Saturday or next-day delivery service. The returns policy allows 28 days from receipt, provided items are unused and in their original packaging; personalised products are non-returnable unless faulty. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the return, and shipping costs are non-refundable unless there is an error or damage. For issues, the company asks customers to make contact within 48 hours of receiving the order. There is a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
