AHLP Locksmiths

AHLP Locksmiths: family-run locksmith in Thornbury for Bristol and South Gloucestershire

AHLP Locksmiths is a family-run locksmith business based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, operating under the full name Auto Home Lock Pros. It is run by Sam and Martyn, father and son: Sam handles the technical work and personally takes calls and callouts, while Martyn manages the business side and also attends jobs when needed. Both hold the NCFE Level 4 qualification, which the company presents as one of the highest professional standards in the UK trade.

The company describes itself as a local, independent service, with no franchise structure or call centre that passes callouts to subcontractors. When a customer calls 07700 100146, they speak directly to Sam, who is the one who attends the property. The business covers the city of Bristol and the areas of South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Gloucestershire, with an estimated response of around 30 minutes in most areas and a guide time of 25 to 35 minutes in central Bristol, always subject to traffic and the exact location.

AHLP's range covers both emergencies and scheduled security improvement work. The company serves homes, commercial premises, offices, industrial units, schools, nurseries, landlords and letting agents.

Published prices and service terms

The company publishes its guide prices and states that all include labour and parts. The price is always confirmed before work begins and no call-out fee is charged. Out-of-hours callouts may carry a small supplement, which is communicated before accepting the service. The prices shown on the site are: emergency entry from £80; lock change from £95 per door, with parts included; anti-snap cylinder from £120, supplied and fitted; and UPVC mechanism replacement from £180. Commercial work, master key systems and multi-door jobs are quoted individually.

Qualifications and products we work with

Sam holds the CLS certification and the NCFE Level 4 qualification in locksmithing. The company fits products recognised by the Secured by Design scheme, backed by the British police, and presents itself as a specialist in BS3621 locks and anti-snap cylinders.
