Kench Hill Centre

Kench Hill Centre: outdoor education and residential stays in Tenterden

The Kench Hill Centre is an outdoor education charity offering residential learning opportunities through nature and the environment. Its activity takes place in a natural setting and combines environmental education with living together during multi-day stays.

Programmes and services

The centre organises residential stays and day visits, two formats that allow groups to take part in immersive learning experiences in nature. The offering is completed by the possibility of holding weddings at its facilities.

Group accommodation

It has group accommodation, an infrastructure designed to host groups taking part in its residential programmes. This accommodation capacity is one of the pillars of its educational offering.

Information for teachers and school groups

The centre provides specific information for teachers and those responsible for school groups, which reflects its connection with the education sector. A testimonial from Hanover Primary School, collected in 2024, describes the experience as "feeling like a home away from home".

Transparency and participation

The organisation maintains a news section and a fundraising section, which indicates ongoing activity and a financial support structure to sustain its work. It also offers the possibility of getting to know the centre through videos and virtual tours.
