About Pepe & Rose

Pepe & Rose, interior design with a sustainable approach

Pepe & Rose is an interior design studio founded in 2022 by Lucy Yank, who serves as founder and director. The company works from South Devon and serves clients throughout the UK and abroad. Its approach combines design, functionality and sustainability criteria, with particular attention to the impact of interiors on the wellbeing of the people who live in them.

Founder's background

Before creating Pepe & Rose, Lucy Yank spent more than fifteen years building a career as a senior executive in corporate communications and brand management, with professional experience in Poland, Belgium, Canada and the UK. After eight years dedicated to renovating her own home, she decided to change direction and train as an interior designer. She is a member of the BIID (British Institute of Interior Design) Sustainability Committee and a signatory of Interior Design Declares, an industry initiative aimed at improving design practices to generate a more positive impact on the environment.

Services and ways of working

The studio offers interior design services, as well as standard packages and bespoke packages. It also offers gift vouchers. The project portfolio and the website blog feature work and content related to the studio's activity. The company states that it works from its base in South Devon, but is available to travel and visit clients anywhere in the UK or beyond to start a project.

Documented projects and commissions

Among the published testimonials, various commissions are described: the renovation of an early 19th-century house with a 20th-century extension and a dark, badly laid-out kitchen; the design, furnishing and decoration of a loft-style apartment for Airbnb letting; the updating of a home through colour schemes and themes for three connected rooms; and a project with an aesthetic approach inspired by Miami in which priority was given to buying second-hand furniture and pieces. The clients cited come from places such as Wandsworth (London), Cardiff and Teignmouth.

Client recognition

The testimonials collected on the website highlight active listening, the ability to adapt to the requirements raised and the founder's contribution of her own ideas. Praise is mentioned such as delivering above and beyond the brief, coordinating colours in connected rooms and solving layout and lighting problems. The company presents itself as a personal, creative and affordable redesign option according to the perception of those who have hired its services.

Base of operations and reach

Lucy Yank lives in Teignmouth, on the South Devon coast, where she works from home. The company has clients spread throughout the UK and also outside the country. Initial contact can be made through a free introductory chat or by email.
