Kiln-dried logs: species and formats

The main product is kiln-dried logs, with a moisture content below 20% and typically between 10% and 15%. The shop organises its range by wood species — ash, oak and mixed hardwoods — and by packaging format: large crates, netted bags and bulk bundles. Among the best-selling products are mixed hardwood logs in netted bags, oak logs in netted bags, mixed hardwood logs in large crates and ash logs in large crates. The company also sells logs in formats specifically for open fires, wood-burning stoves, pizza ovens and fire pits.

Complementary fuels

In addition to logs, the catalogue includes other domestic fuels: wood pellets, smokeless coal, heat logs, pizza oven briquettes, firelighters and kindling. The company offers the possibility of combining these products with log orders.

Certifications and quality control

Firewood Centre holds FSC certification, which guarantees the sustainable origin of wood from managed forests. It also has Ready to Burn accreditation, a British quality assurance scheme that verifies that firewood contains less than 20% moisture. The company states that it inspects quality at all stages, from initial production to final delivery, and offers a 30-day buyer protection policy. Its logs comply with UK air quality regulations and are suitable for open fires, wood-burning stoves and commercial pizza ovens.

Delivery and coverage

The delivery service is free across the UK and is carried out with next-day dispatch. The company states that its deliveries reach 2,557 towns and cities, and that repeat orders represent a significant part of its business.
