Fire Essentials Door Products

Fire Essentials Door Products, online store for certified fire door components

Fire Essentials Door Products is a UK e-commerce business focused on selling fire door products. Its catalogue is organised into three main sections: intumescent pads, hardware packs and other complementary products, as well as bulk packs and a sale section. The company presents itself as a way to purchase these components with instant discounts and free delivery on all fire door packs.

Intumescent pads and certified protection

The range of intumescent pads includes references for hinges, latches, locks and bolts, as well as sheets and combination packs. Featured products include 100 x 30 mm hinge pads in graphite material (Flexifire) and MAP material (Interdens), available in various thicknesses, and the 100 x 30 mm radius corner pads. 75 x 18 mm pads and graphite intumescent sheets that can be cut to size are also offered.

The company states that all products it supplies have certification or test evidence, and that its intumescent pads have IFC certification, providing full traceability. According to the published information, graphite pads are suitable for FD30 (30-minute) and FD60 (60-minute) fire door projects.

Hardware packs and door accessories

The hardware section brings together packs of handles, hinges, latches and locks with fire resistance classification, as well as viewers and letter plates. The catalogue includes, for example, 272 mm (10-inch) and 306 mm (12-inch) intumescent letter plates, both with pre-installed intumescent protection, fixings included and fitting instructions. The other products section includes fire smoke drop seals, fire rated door viewers and letter plates, and fire door signs.

According to the company, each hardware pack includes self-adhesive intumescent pads where required, fire rated fixings and manufacturer's fitting instructions, as well as installation videos and product support where available.

Technical documentation and specification support

Fire Essentials Door Products emphasises the documentation that accompanies its products. It notes that every item supplied includes fire certification or test evidence, material data sheets where applicable and dimension diagrams where relevant, all available for download from the product page or the support section. The company describes its mission as making fire door projects quicker, safer and easier to manage, and offers assistance for questions about products or specification documentation.

Shipping, lead times and discounts

The store states that 99% of orders are dispatched using a fully tracked service. Free delivery is available for all orders with a 3-5 day lead time, and there is a fast 48-hour tracked delivery option for £5.95 plus VAT. The site displayed a notice stating that orders placed between 18 and 23 September would be dispatched on 24 September 2026.

Regarding prices, the catalogue shows automatic discounts of up to 15% without codes when buying more than one item, and the company offers a free membership service to save on fire door projects. The prices of featured products range, according to what is published, from £2.86 to £59.97 depending on the reference and pack format.

Industry context and customer profiles

The company targets its products at property owners, joinery firms, building maintenance services and passive fire protection specialists, among others. In its presentation it mentions industry pressures such as the high percentage of fire doors that fail inspections in the UK, the cost of correcting a defective door, rising raw material prices and successive regulatory updates that have turned these elements into regulated and documented systems.
