myhotelbreak

Family hotel-getaway company dating to 1996, with dinner, spa, entertainment, and stay packages across the United Kingdom, plus booking support.

About myhotelbreak

A getaway with dinner, an evening show, or a spa weekend: myhotelbreak organizes stays around more than the room. The British family company began in 1996, when Andrew Simpson started bringing independent hotels together and preparing programs for group-tour operators from his home in the Scottish Highlands.

That initial activity expanded into individual getaways. The business changed from Classic Scotland to Classic Britain in 2003, after relocating to Strathaven in 2001. It adopted the myhotelbreak brand in 2015. This evolution accompanied the transition from brochures and group programs to a platform for booking stays throughout the United Kingdom.

The selection can be searched by hotel, city, region, or distance from a postal code. It also distinguishes nights, rooms, and guests. Filters cover specific accommodation features: accessible rooms, pet policies, parking, public transportation, spas, pools, or golf facilities. Each feature belongs to hotels that offer it rather than being presented as a service shared by the entire collection.

Packages combine accommodation and breakfast with dinners, dining credits, or added touches, depending on the offer. There are two-night programs with dinner on one evening, afternoon-tea packages, and food-focused stays. The selection spans city hotels, rural properties, and destinations such as the Lake District, the Highlands, Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Liverpool.

Themed getaways have their own role: tribute performances, mystery evenings, activities, celebrations, romantic travel, and wellness programs. Hotel-and-parking options before a flight are separate from vacation stays. Apartments, cottages, and lodges with kitchens expand the offering for travelers who prefer to handle part of their daily routine themselves.

The company says it selects and personally reviews its partner hotels. Online booking is complemented by a British team available seven days a week, reservation management through an account, and gift vouchers. Pay-at-the-hotel options coexist with offers carrying different conditions; prepaid rates are identified separately. The service thus brings together search, a stay package, and support before and after booking.
