MPD Tanks Ltd

MPD Tanks Ltd: oil tank specialists in the East of England

MPD Tanks Ltd is a Suffolk-based company dedicated to the installation, relocation, removal and maintenance of oil tanks for residential and commercial customers. It has operated in Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex since 2015 and is OFTEC registered (Oil Firing Technical Association for the Petroleum Industry), which means its work complies with current building regulations and safety standards. The company presents itself as a complete service: it carries out all work with its own resources, without the need to coordinate other trades, and holds public and employer's liability insurance.

Oil tank services

The company's range covers the complete life cycle of an oil tank:

• Installation: supply, delivery and installation of plastic and steel tanks, bunded and non-bunded, in any size or shape, including bespoke models to fit the available space.
• Replacement: complete replacement service for the existing tank, OFTEC compliant from start to finish.
• Relocation and removal: moving or decommissioning the existing tank, including pump-out, waste management and site clean-up.
• Maintenance: replacement of defective valves and gauges, removal of water and contaminating sludge, flushing of oil lines and supply of new pipelines.
• Tank cleaning and removal of the old tank when switching to a heat pump.
• Emergency pump-out service for leaking or contaminated tanks, with rapid making safe.

Credentials and regulatory compliance

The company issues OFTEC compliance certificates (Form CD11) for every installation, a document required by building regulations and by insurers. It notes that OFTEC registration requires ongoing training and assessment of technicians, and warns that work carried out by unregistered contractors may void the property's insurance. The company operates under company number 09524952.
