Blake Contractors

Blake Contractors began in Southend in 1979 as an electrical contractor and expanded to bring together building work, property maintenance, and fire-alarm and security systems. The firm works with homes, businesses, and organizations, handling everything from small repairs to full interior and exterior refurbishments. It presents building, electrical, and security work as coordinated departments within one company.

Its electrical services include commercial, industrial, and residential installations, portable appliance testing, and electrical safety certificates for landlords. The building and maintenance teams handle projects of different sizes as well as planned and responsive maintenance contracts. The company says it has held NICEIC certification since 1981 and has health-and-safety accreditations; customers arranging regulated work can check current credentials in the relevant organizations’ registers.

The head office is at 403 Sutton Road in Southend-on-Sea, and the official website offers a way to request a quote. The company describes an in-house team coordinating different specialties and serving both homeowners and commercial clients and local authorities. Before a project begins, clarify the scope, systems involved, and credentials required for that specific job.
