Midas Moving Group: family-run removals and storage in Essex and Suffolk

Midas Moving Group is a family-run removals and storage company based in Sible Hedingham, Essex. Its work focuses on residential and commercial moves, both local and nationwide, with an approach the company itself describes as calmer and more planned than is usual in the sector. The company states that most of its work comes from repeat customers and word-of-mouth recommendations.

Removal services for homes and businesses

The company covers home moves, office relocations, professional packing and storage solutions. On the residential side, it handles local and long-distance moves within the UK. For businesses, it offers office relocations designed to minimise disruption to operations. The packing service includes packing, dismantling and reassembling furniture, with protective materials such as high-quality padded covers for televisions and delicate furniture.

Storage is offered on a short- and long-term basis, with 24/7 protection according to the website. The company also mentions student moves, commercial removals and piano moves, as well as European and shipping services.

How each move is organised

The process described by the company begins with the customer requesting a quote, providing addresses, dates, property size and packing or storage needs. A team member then gets in touch to go over access, parking and timings at both ends, and sends a fixed written quote. During the preparation phase, the team arrives with the right equipment, padded covers, protective wrapping and uniformed staff; furniture is dismantled and valuables are protected before anything leaves the property. On moving day, everything is transported, items taken apart are reassembled, and each item is placed where the customer wants it.

Team, insurance and service approach

The company highlights that its movers are uniformed, trained, full-time staff, and that every job is covered by full insurance. Among the features it emphasises are careful handling of fragile and valuable items, punctuality and organisation, a transparent pricing policy with no hidden costs, and a customer-focused approach from start to finish. The firm presents itself as one of the friendliest removal companies in Essex, although this is the company's own assessment.
