ChipHERO

ChipHERO: British pet microchip database

ChipHERO is a UK database dedicated to the registration and management of pet microchips. Its service is aimed at owners, vets, animal welfare organisations, breeders and microchip implanters. The company presents itself as a database compliant with British government standards and offers 24/7 support for owners, vets and animal welfare organisations.

Microchip registration and management

Owners who have brought home a pet with a ChipHERO microchip can start the registration process on the platform. The system allows you to keep your pet's and your own details up to date, with the aim of making reunification easier if your pet goes missing. The company also offers breeders the option to transfer microchips to the new keeper and to find local ChipHERO implanters.

Microchip search and reunification support

The platform includes a microchip search tool that allows you to check both ChipHERO records and those of other UK databases. This service is available to owners and also to vets and animal welfare organisations, who can call the 24/7 support line or create an account to access the search and other services. The company states that its database is designed to protect keeper information and support the reunification of lost animals across the UK.

Services for professionals and implanters

ChipHERO offers specific information for qualified microchip implanters or for those who wish to train as one. The company invites implanters to join its network and provides training resources. In addition, vets and animal welfare organisations have access to the search and other services through their own account.

Resources and legal information

The website brings together useful links about the company, help, missing pets, found pets and UK microchipping legislation. It also includes information on implanter training and on ChipHERO microchips themselves. The company publishes a newsletter with news about products and special offers.
